Chiropractic Care aims to mobilize the spine towards its natural range of motion, thus increasing the fluidity and efficacy of the nervous system. Proper function of the nerves positively effects all other systems in the body (circulatory; lymphatic; digestive etc), improves mental health; and overall well-being.
Adaptive Bodywork is a functional systems approach to myofascial manipulation created by John Sutherland and Ron Arbel. Beyond targeting the symptoms of any given client, we seek the source of presenting problems in the body. Anatomical disfunction existing in the physical structure must be resolved or the symptoms, even if relieved immediately, will most likely resurface. This technique is not exclusively a healing modality, it is also relevant for movers of all kinds (Olympic lifters, Crossfitters, Yogis, Dancers etc), or anyone seeking ways to become more functional and mobile in their body.
Adaptive Yoga is an individualized system of physical movement and breath work. Depending on individual objectives, specific Yoga techniques will be administered to heal injuries; enhance physical fitness; or to calm the mind and relax the body. It is offered here with the hope of empowering people with the tools to maintain healthy bodies and healthy minds, long after a visit to Chiromotion.
